Scuffed, scratched, or faded bumper? A respray runs $300–$600 here — body shops in San Diego quote $500–$1,000+ for the same job.
Get a Free QuoteA bumper respray at ReSpraySD typically costs between $300 and $600, depending on how much damage there is and how much prep work the surface needs. That price includes surface prep, primer where needed, base coat mixed to your factory paint code, and clear coat.
Body shops in San Diego usually quote $500 to $1,000+ for the same bumper. That's not because the work is different — it's because a collision shop carries overhead (estimators, front office, insurance billing) that gets baked into every job, no matter how small. A one-person setup doesn't have that overhead, so small jobs cost what they should.
Every bumper gets the same treatment: wash and degrease, sand out the scuffs and scratches, repair minor damage, prime any exposed plastic, then spray base coat color-matched to your vehicle's paint code and finish with clear coat. After curing, the finish is cut and buffed so it blends with the rest of the car.
Most bumper jobs are done in 2 to 3 days. You drop the car off at my dedicated home setup in San Diego and pick it up when it's ready.
If the bumper is cracked through, badly deformed, or has broken mounting tabs, replacement can make more sense — and I'll tell you that up front. But the majority of bumper damage is cosmetic: scuffs from parking garages, scrapes from low curbs, clear coat peel, and sun fade. All of that is respray territory, and a respray is far cheaper than a new painted bumper.

Yes. Paint is mixed from your vehicle's factory paint code (found on the door jamb sticker). For older or sun-faded vehicles, I spray a test sample and compare it in different lighting before painting the bumper.
Both. Scuffs, scratches, and minor damage are sanded and repaired as part of the prep — the respray is the final step, not a cover-up.
